Management challenges - implementation session. 5th Warsaw SYNERGIA session, November 16, 2021
On November 16, 2021 the 5th session of the second edition of the SYNERGIA project was devoted to the topic of implementation of innovative management solutions in public administration. The session was attended by representatives of public administration institutions from Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia and Hungary.
5th training session
During the implementation session, the management challenges presented by participants from Poland were analyzed. During the analysis, the method of Cartesian questions was used, examining the challenges of individual institutions – participants in terms of topicality and continuous improvement of the proposed solutions.
Participants coming to the project, in the application form, present the management challenge they would like to work on during the training part, thus preparing themselves to create a project to implement appropriate solutions in their home institutions, based on good practices presented during the training program.
The training part includes two implementation workshops and a summary of work on management challenges during the peer-learning session.
Form of implementation
The session was conducted online, on the MS TEAMS platform. Classes were held from 12:30 to 15:45.
Purpose of the project
The aim of the SYNERGIA project is:
- preparation, on the basis of a cooperation network of management staff in public administration from Central and Eastern Europe, of a new educational and cooperation program,
- implementation of management solutions developed during the implementation of the program in the institution participating in the project selected in an internal competition.

On November 8-10, 2021 the fourth training session – away in Budapest, as part of the second edition of the Synergia project took place. The session was attended by representatives of public administration from Poland, Bulgaria, Latvia and Hungary.
Program
The session program includes activities in the following thematic areas:
- networking,
- the role of informal communication networks in the organization,
- change management,
- leadership development in the organization.
The aim of the session was to understand the specifics of the design process, introducing organizational changes and the role of social relations in organizations. The workshop part of the session covered issues related to shaping the rules and implementing good practices in the field of conscious leadership development in public organizations.
The session was based on the Harvard case-study workshop method.
The session is co-organized by the project partner – University of Public Service from Hungary.
Meeting of leaders of partner institutions
Leaders of partner institutions: Dr. Wojciech Federczyk (director of KSAP), Pavel Ivanov (director of IPA), Agita Kalvina (director of LSPA) and the host of the session Andras Koltay (rector of UPS) met on November 8, 2021 to confirm the possibility of further cooperation within the SYNERGIA project.

Synergia - additional training session in Sofia
On 10-12.10.2021 an additional training session took place in Sofia, as part of the 1st edition of the Synergia project. The session was attended by representatives of public administration from Poland, Bulgaria and Latvia.
Training session, 10-12.10.2021
The session program includes activities in the following thematic areas:
- Effective communication;
- Real leadership;
- Best leadership practices in crisis situations;
- Multilateral negotiations.
The aim of the session was to learn about the mechanisms, tools and techniques influencing effective communication in the organization from the point of view of the top management: both between departments of the organization and between employees and superiors, and to develop the skills of effective interpersonal communication in the face of crisis situations. The workshop part was to familiarize participants with techniques and negotiation tactics enabling effective management in everyday situations, including conflict situations.

Training session "People and team management and building an internal trainer workshop" as part of the implementation part, in the Synergia project, 12-15.10.2021.
On October 12-15, 2021 a training session is being held for the Warmia and Mazury Voivodship Office in Olsztyn – the winner of the competition for the best implementation project under the 1st edition of the Synergia project.
The program includes a workshop part on managing people and teams, including areas related to human resources analysis, managing employee teams, managerial competences, shaping interpersonal relationships, management psychology and the use of modern forms of employee development.
In the second part of the training, as part of the topic of building an internal trainer workshop, participants will learn about the following issues:
- The role of an internal trainer in the organization;
- Training techniques;
- Psychological factors that set standards in working with small groups;
- Difficult situations in the work of the trainer;
- Designing training programs;
- Self-presentation during public speaking.
Form of the session
The session lasts 4 training days, 12-15.10.2021. and is carried out in a stationary form,
at the headquarters of KSAP.
